SMEER-COATINGS – RETURN POLICY
Return Window
You have 7–14 days from the date of purchase to return an item.
After 14 days, no returns, exchanges, or refunds can be offered.
Your Rights Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
You are entitled to products that are of good quality, safe, suitable for their intended purpose, and free from defects.
If a product fails to meet these standards, you may return it within six (6) months of delivery and choose a refund, replacement, or repair at no cost.
CPA rights cannot be waived or limited by any store policy.
Return Eligibility
Items may be returned only if they are:
- Unused
- In the same condition as received
- In original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned:
- Opened or partially used products
- Items with colour variations after opening
- Products not in original packaging
- Items damaged due to incorrect application, surface preparation, or misuse
Item Condition Requirements
Returned products must be:
- Unopened
- Unused
- Undamaged
- Factory-sealed
- Packaging fully intact
No colour-related claims will be accepted once the product has been opened.

Provide the following:
- Full name
- Order number
- Proof of purchase
- Photos (required if claiming a defect)
Once your return is approved, you must return the item to the original purchase location.
Return Shipping Costs
- The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
- Shipping will only be covered by Smeer-Coatings if a manufacturing defect is confirmed.

Inspection & Approval
All returned items undergo inspection.
Returns may be refused if items are opened, used, damaged, or not in acceptable condition.
Processing Timeline
Returns are processed within 3–5 business days after inspection.
Exceptions
- Courier-damaged items must be reported within 24 hours, with photos.
- Incorrect items received must be reported within 48 hours.
Restocking Fees
No restocking fees currently apply.

Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be granted for:
- Confirmed manufacturing defects
- Incorrect items received
- Orders cancelled prior to dispatch
- Courier-damaged items (reported within 24 hours)
Non-Refundable Items
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Opened or used products
- Colour variations noticed after opening
- Incorrect application or poor surface preparation
- Change of mind after opening
Refund Method
Refunds will be issued via:
- The original payment method, or
- Store credit (where applicable)
Refund Timeline
- Processing: 3–5 working days
- Bank reflection: 3–14 working days
Evidence Requirements
Submit clear photos of:
- The product container immediately after opening
- Visible defect or damage
- Proof of purchase

Shipping Refunds
Courier fees are non-refundable, unless Smeer-Coatings is at fault.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
- Must be reported within 7 days of receipt.
- Refunds or exchanges apply only to the same product and colour.
