SMEER-COATINGS – PAYMENT POLICY
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Smeer-Coatings accepts the following secure payment methods:
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
- PayFast
- Cash (where available)
Alternative methods such as Buy Now, Pay Later or split payments offered via supported platforms may be accepted subject to approval.
Payments must be made in the currency reflected on the invoice. Other payment methods not explicitly listed are not accepted unless agreed in writing.
2. Payment Terms
- Orders will only be released or scheduled once full payment has been confirmed by our accounts department.
- A deposit may be required for certain orders or services, as communicated at the time of quotation (e.g., large projects or customised work).
- For online or card payments, processing occurs through secure, third-party payment gateways; orders are only complete once payment authorisation is successful.
3. Late Payments / Interest
- Invoices are due on the date specified. If payment is not received by the due date, late payment charges or interest may be applied as outlined on the invoice or quotation.
- Smeer-Coatings reserves the right to withhold delivery of products or services until overdue amounts are settled.
- If you anticipate a delay in payment, please contact our team before the due date to discuss payment arrangements.
4. Secure Payment Processing
- All online and card transactions are processed securely via SSL-encrypted, PCI-compliant gateways in line with industry standards.
- Smeer-Coatings does not store full credit card details on its systems beyond what is required for processing by the payment gateway.
5. Billing Information Requirements
- Customers must provide accurate and complete billing information at the time of purchase.
- Smeer-Coatings reserves the right to verify billing details before processing orders, and may decline or delay order acceptance if billing information cannot be verified.
- Failure to provide correct billing details may result in delayed or cancelled orders.
6. Payment Confirmation & Documentation
- Once payment is received and confirmed, Smeer-Coatings will issue a tax invoice or receipt to the customer.
- Customers should retain their proof of payment and invoice for their records.
7. Refunds / Disputes
- Refunds (if applicable) will be processed using the same method as the original payment, subject to bank/payment provider processing times.
- Any payment disputes should be raised within 7 days of the invoice date.
- Smeer-Coatings may require supporting documentation when reviewing a dispute or refund request.
